Stubai Glacier

A superb glacial ski area, with about 120km of marked runs, plus some itinerary routes. The nature of the terrain, split by several ridges, means that the area has more variety than Hintertux. The high speed access gondolas ensure short, if any, queuing times - we skied at Easter and never waited for more than a few seconds to get on a lift. The only drawback is the lack of treeline skiing in bad weather. The Mickey Mouse Club provides a great learning environment for children, with three covered magic carpet lifts. Better skiers can try the 10km itinerary route down to the valley station or revel in deep powder, when there are heavy snowfalls.
